Wasu Mekniran is a Ph.D. candidate at ETH Zurich and a doctoral researcher at the Centre for Digital Health Interventions at the University of St. Gallen. Within his Ph.D., he researches and develops business models for digital healthy longevity companies to make disease prevention measurable, actionable, and accountable by looking into “how can we make digital precision preventive care models a success?“

Curriculum Vitae

Wasu pursued an M.Sc. in Simulation Sciences, where Fluid-Structure Interaction helps design a heart pump device and an MBA in Digitalization from RWTH Aachen University in Germany. He also holds a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from Kyushu University in Japan, where he designed Brain/Machine interface for medical assistive bionics. Before joining ETH Zürich, Wasu founded a Japanese crowdfunding start-up for IoT devices and gained professional experience as a management trainee at Bosch Japan and Elia Group as a business developer in Belgium.
